Aaron O’Neill wins $10,000 cash prize

Aaron O’Neill a Ridgetown resident is $10,000 richer after winning the cash prize in the Together, We Play Contest held by Four Counties Health Services and Strathroy Middlesex General Hospital Foundation.

Aaron was called the night of the draw and responded “No way” when he was told he won the $10,000.

Aaron is an employee of Precision Concrete in Wardsville and Debbie Munn Fundraising Developer says “that Precision Concrete has been very support of the Four Counties Health Services foundation and was one of the many sponsors of the Game Board.

There were a total of 75 prize winners with a variety of prizes donated including gift certificates, TV, and many more.

McNaughton’s in Newbury and Town & Country Mutual Insurance in Strathroy donated the grand prize money and with their support the contest was made possible.

Thank You to all of the  Businesses and individuals who sponsored by purchasing squares on the game board and the funds raised will go towards purchasing equipment to support patient care.

First Clues Revealed for Together, We Play Contest in Support of Patient Care at Four Counties Health Services and Strathroy Middlesex General Hospital

Together, We Play contest offers chance to win $10,000 and other prizes for free

NEWBURY, ONTARIO (March 4, 2010) - Four Counties Health Services and Strathroy Middlesex General Hospital  Foundations are pleased to reveal the first two clues needed to play an exciting new contest offering people the chance to win $10,000 cash plus other prizes – and its free to play!

Did we mention it’s FREE to enter?

With clues revealed each month, contestants will be able to solve the 11-character code by the time the contest closes in September. The first two clues are:

The answers to the first two clues can be found by searching an online web site of sponsor logos at www.togetherweplay.com. New clues will be revealed monthly. Contestants must find all clues to complete a form for the chance to win a grand prize of $10,000 cash and other prizes.

Entry forms will be available at all participating sponsor locations by the end of March 2010. There is no fee to enter the contest and only one entry per person is allowed. BDO Canada LLP of Strathroy will supervise the draw, scheduled to take place in October. All contest rules and instructions on how to play are available on the web site.

The clues will spell LOCAL HEROES – an acknowledgement of instrumental local healthcare leaders Grace Anderson and Dorothy Doan.

Mrs. Anderson served as Director of Nursing and acted as Assistant Administrator at the Four Counties Health Services for 22 years. Her nursing skills and great compassion for her patients provided an important link between medical staff and patient care.

Miss Doan was the first woman in Canada to join the Association of Hospital Administrators. After completing her fellowship in Hospital Organizational Management, she led Strathroy Middlesex General Hospital for twenty?five years and was honoured nationally as an outstanding nurse and citizen when awarded the 125th Anniversary of the Confederation of Canada Medal.

Sponsors can purchase ‘squares’, available for $150 each on the togetherweplay.com web site to showcase their logo. The game is really an all-round win, contestants play for free, businesses receive recognition while funds help the hospital to purchase colonoscopy equipment at FCHS; and anaesthesia equipment for SMGH

Together, We Play is just one initiative within a complete fundraising suite of programs called Together, We Will.  Four Counties Health Services Foundation has included the donation collection cups Together We Change  that will be launched soon. The program is designed to help raise awareness and financial support for local healthcare.

NEWBURY, ONTARIO (February 12, 2010) - Four Counties Health Services and Strathroy Middlesex General Hospital Foundations are pleased to announce an exciting new contest offering people the chance to win $10,000 cash, as well as other prizes – and it’s free to play!

Contest players will search an online game-board to find all the clues to spell ‘LOCAL HEROES’.  New clues will be revealed monthly starting March 1 through to August 30 at www.togetherweplay.com. Contestants must find all clues to complete a ballot for the chance to win a grand prize of $10,000 cash and approximately 100 other prizes.

Entry ballots will only be available at participating sponsor locations. There is no fee to enter the contest. Chances to win will depend on the number of qualified entries received by the contest close date of September 24, 2010. Only one entry per person. Funds raised will help purchase a new colonoscopy for Four Counties Health Services and new anaesthesia  equipment for Strathroy Middlesex General Hospital

The new ‘Together, We Play’ contest is just one of 5 new fundraising initiatives that are part of a program called ‘Together, We Will’. The balance of activities will be launched throughout 2010 to help raise awareness and financial support with more details available at www.fchsfoundation.com.
